Furthermore, although generally applicable and presented in a generic manner, not all concepts may be applied to your specific technology or methodology used.

It is my hope to share with you based on my personal experiences working out layout problems, often in collaboration with engineers who have invested their time to help create good layout.

Any similarities in my manner of explanation to other sources is coincidental and not intended. Any information I draw from other sources will be duly cited.

Basic layout concepts are just that, basic, but not necessarily known or understood by all layout designers. It’s big industry. If you ask 50 people to describe a banana, you are highly likely going to have some similar descriptions without any collaboration. Those similarities are coincidental, however, the common experience of the broad community of layout designers is one thing that binds us together as a profession and should not cause division.

By virtue of having to have been in the position to teach others layout, I bring my specific voice, pitching in a some mild entertainment, hopefully to help brighten things up and make your layout design day a little brighter and a little more knowledgeable.
